🍂 The Art of Letting Go: A Spiritual Practice for the Season of Release

There’s something sacred about this time of year. The air cools. The days grow shorter. Nature begins to whisper a truth we often try to ignore and it’s time to let go. I feel filled with love this time of year. It’s reflective, beautiful and powerful.

The trees don’t resist their release. They don’t hold on to each leaf, trying to preserve what once was. They trust the cycle. They surrender with beauty. And yet, when it’s our turn to release a relationship, an identity, a pattern, or a dream, we grip tighter. We confuse endings with failure, and surrender with weakness. I’ve been there many times before.

But here’s the truth I’ve learned, both in my own life and through my work in the Return to Love Live Container: letting go is not an act of loss, it’s an act of love. It sounds crazy at first, but it really is true.

🌕 Letting Go Isn’t a Punishment, It’s an Initiation

Every time you release something that no longer serves your spirit, you are stepping into higher alignment. You are saying to the Universe, “I trust what’s next, even if I can’t see it yet.”

I know how hard that can be.
I’ve let go of friendships that could no longer grow with me.
I’ve shed versions of myself that kept me small because I was afraid to be seen.
And each time, the process was messy, emotional, and deeply human.

But every single release became the doorway to something truer. I am such a deep embodiment of what I was always meant to be and each day I grow more into that identity.

Letting go is an initiation into your next level of peace. It’s your soul asking you to travel lighter, to make room for love, joy, and opportunity to find you without the noise of what’s expired.

🔮 What Are You Still Holding?

Ask yourself:

·      What feels heavy in my energy lately?

·      What am I afraid will fall apart if I stop controlling it?

·      Where have I been choosing comfort over alignment?

These questions aren’t easy, but they are sacred. You don’t have to have the answers right away. Sometimes awareness is the first act of release.

Try this simple ritual this week:

1.     Sit somewhere quiet.

2.     Write down three things you’re ready to let go of.

3.     Read them out loud and feel what they’ve taught you.

4.     Then burn, bury, or release them into water.
Say, “Thank you for what you gave me. I now release you with love.”

Your energy will shift instantly because the act of release is also an act of faith. Release work is one of my favorite types of spiritual work.

🌹 Inside Return to Love

In my Return to Love Live Container, we’ve been exploring this in real time. We’ve cried, laughed, surrendered, and witnessed each other bloom. The transformation happens when people realize they were never broken; they were just ready to shed.

As this round of Return to Love comes to a close, I can feel the ripple of that energy moving out into the world. It’s proof that healing doesn’t always look perfect. Sometimes it looks like falling apart but only so you can fall into alignment.

And for those of you feeling the call to join the next round doors open the day after Christmas. I can already feel how powerful it’s going to be.

🌬️ Final Thought

Letting go is not a one-time act. It’s a rhythm. A dance. A sacred practice that keeps your energy light and your spirit open.

So, if your life feels like it’s asking for change right now trust it.
You’re not breaking down. You’re breaking open.

And in that opening, love will always return.
