I don’t just tell teachers what to do—I roll up my sleeves and get in the classroom with them. Together we:

  • Pull apart the curriculum to see what’s really there and how it can serve their students.
  • Deep dive into online components, uncovering hidden tools and resources that support instruction.
  • Sit side by side to review student data, learning how to group students based on strengths and needs.
  • Model effective instructional strategies so teachers can see them in action, not just hear about them.
    This is personalized, hands-on coaching that helps educators feel confident, balanced, and empowered in their practice.

Every school has its own story and curriculum should reflect that story. My work includes:

  • Examining the cultural context of the school (such as Tribal or BIE schools) and identifying natural points where language, history, and cultural ways of being can be integrated.
  • Designing curriculum maps, pacing guides, and assessment tools that align with standards and honor community context.
  • Supporting the creation of rigorous, culturally responsive curricula that meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Coaching teachers in effective ways to run small-group reading instruction using student data, principles from Jan Richardson, and the Science of Reading.
  • Helping K–3 teachers use hands-on math manipulatives to strengthen conceptual understanding and support math instruction.

I help schools move beyond surface-level cultural acceptance into true inclusivity by:

  • Tailoring instruction and classroom management strategies to ensure all students are seen and supported.
  • Implementing my self-created Healing Centered Behavior Support framework, which offers a culturally grounded alternative to conventional PBIS models. This approach acknowledges trauma, culture, and identity, rather than erasing them.
  • Guiding staff in practices that create safe, affirming environments for students of all backgrounds.

As an Indigenous educator and consultant, I specialize in bringing Native knowledge into education with integrity and respect. I can support schools by:

  • Teaching staff how to craft and deliver meaningful land acknowledgments.
  • Infusing Native history and perspectives into social studies lessons in ways that are accurate and relevant.
  • Designing land-based lessons specific to the school’s regional location.
  • Leading authentic Native American Heritage Month events, assemblies, and classroom lessons that go beyond tokenism.
  • Meeting and sitting with Indian Parent Committees to go over Native student data and needs. 
  • Advising school officials on how to begin, restart, or run an Indian Parent Committee, ensuring proper use of Title VI funds to support Native student populations. 
  • Helping schools with higher Native student populations—especially those serving reservation areas—learn how to best serve their Native students through culturally responsive practices and staff training.

Data is more than numbers, it’s a story waiting to be told. My process helps schools:

  • See the “why” behind student performance, not just the “what.”
  • Identify curriculum gaps, instructional misalignments, and cultural barriers hidden in the data.
  • Turn raw numbers into actionable insights that drive change, close achievement gaps, and celebrate student growth.
  • Run cycles of inquiry using action research so students and teachers gain full control of their data and truly understand what it means.
  • Facilitate Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) using the Doing by Learning model to guide data talks and embed the inquiry cycle of Look – Think – Act.
